Okay guys, I've added a BBCode for "anchors"

Click here to skip the explanation

If you know anything about HTML, you know what anchors are. They're the <a> tag, they can be used to link as well: <a href="link">text</a>, and that's who the URL BBCode works.

Another nifty feature of anchors is that they can link to things on the page you're on.

You've probably noticed I'm putting a lot of spaces, that's to make demonstrating this new BBCode I added easier.

So in the meantime, while I'm filling space

I'll add in that I finally realized that I know how to make the spoiler tag easier to read when used

For example

show spoiler»

Before it was really difficult to read it due to its size.

Okay

Now

For the finale:

This is my anchored text, that the earlier link...links to

Now you might be wondering how to use them.

The link BBCode is: [aurl=#], you have to put some identifier after the # so it knows where to go. For example, I used [aurl=#hi]

And for the anchor that the link goes to, use [a=], and put the SAME identifier after the =, but don't use the # symbol. For example, I used [a=hi]

CAPS MATTER WHEN USING THIS BBCODE
If I had used [a=Hi] instead of [a=hi], it would not have worked.

Now you may also be wondering...what would I use that for??

Try using it on your trading topics, quick jumps to your legendaries, your shinies, whatever. Or on your FAQ guides, as a table of contents sort of area.

I might have to put the forums off a bit tomorrow on the grounds that I am going to update the forums. Please all pray and hope that I don't mess up. It will be put off after 13 to 14 hours. The forums will be shut down for mostly half an hour or less. Don't panic.

Ah, last hour or so of me being on it will be down. Best of luck to you!

To all the users, this means that, if all goes well, we can finally do some of those things we couldn't do before. Like custom profiles fields you may be seeing on some of the staff.
